Free Doom

He conquered lands far and wide
Had riches as bountiful as the seas
He was the jewel of our eyes
Yet his greatest wishes seemed left fallow
To fester in his heart unabated
A walking carcass he became
Filled with grime and grunge
Emanating all sights of evil
Staining the shine that made him jewel
Blinding our understanding
What had happened?
What did our jewel crave so much
Alas! He is dead now, may he find it in death’s freedom
