On the pertinence of Dying

Dying is divine
A savior for the world
Look no further for messiahs
For the process of your death is come

Dying, the slow snuffing out of life
The filmstrip before your eyes
The regrets, the pain
That dying, master of inglorious hindsight

Dying, the glitter of the world
The indomitable enigma that invokes awe
You fear it’s thought, it’s reality
Something so happy, sublime misery

Dying, the blitz your soul always craved
The thing your spirit surely prefers
A little longer though, your body protests
Telling you to take what you can from this life

Dying is the rage
The utmost prayer for your passion
That thing that rules over life and death
A crossroad, your soul’s prayer. A lord
